That deadly raid on the Jenin refugee camp, during which Walid Sa’ad Daoud Nassar and six others were killed, was the reason for the protest which Amir joined, on Friday, March 10.

A checkpoint near the northern entrance to Qalqilya. A Palestinian protest march. In the Apartheid vernacular, this is a violation of order, and the army uses "means to disperse demonstrations". In the occupation dialect it means the use of live ammunition as well.

At 4 pm, a sniper shoots Amir from a distance of 100 meters, and hits the left side of his chest. The army's version: He threw a fire bomb. That's why he was shot in the chest near the heart. Two more were wounded by live bullets, and many others suffered suffocation injuries.

Amir was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.
