Since Jan. 1st, 2023:

‣ 182 Palestinians killed, 52 of them from Jenin Governorate, 42 from Nablus Governorate. 32 minors (Palestinian Ministry of Health data).

‣ About 5,800 wounded. Three of them are minors who lost an eye.

‣ 1,132 administrative detainees as of today: three women and eighteen minors.

‣ 570 minors have been arrested since the beginning of the year.

‣ 193 violent attacks on Emergency medical responder: 142 on ambulance vehicles, five on hospitals and medical centers, thirty-six attacks on medical staff, ten attacks on the sick and the wounded.

 

Fatalities

1. Noureddine Tayseer Al-Ardah, 32 years old, resident of Nablus. Hamas operative. He was shot and killed after being involved in a shooting incident at the occupation forces in the At Tur neighborhood on Gerizim Mountain. The forces blocked access of medical responders and took his body.


2. Montaser Bahjat Ali Salama, 33 years old, a resident of the Rafidia neighborhood in Nablus. Hamas operative. Killed with Noureddine under similar circumstances.




3. Saad Maher Al-Kharraz, 43 years old, a resident of Nablus. A released prisoner, formerly the head of the Hamas cell at An-Najah National University. His father is a senior member of Hamas. His son was born just a month ago. He was shot and killed with Noureddine and Montaser under similar circumstances.



4. Mohammad Abdul Hakim Naim Nada, 23 years old, resident of Ein Beit el Ma Refugee Camp in Nablus. He was shot in the chest and seriously wounded during clashes in the camp. According to the Palestinians, he was not involved. According to the IOF, he was armed (he was not a wanted person or a target of the raid). Later his condition deteriorated and he died of his wounds. Last October, Hamdi Sharaf was shot and killed along with a friend, while they were at Hamdi's hair salon in the Old City of Nablus. They were not involved in any clashes. Mohammad took upon himself to operate the hair salon since Hamdi's death.


5. Fares Sharhabeel Abu Samra, 14 years old, resident of Qalqilya. He was shot in the head and mortally wounded during clashes in the city. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.





 

‣ Update on the circumstances of Fawzi Hani Mokhalafa's death:

18 years old, shot while driving his car near his hometown of Sebastia, about a week ago. A spokesman for the IOF announced that it was a run-over incident attempt. According to Palestinian reports, special forces ambushed a Skoda vehicle, which according to intelligence information was driven by a wanted person near Sebastia. They fired forty rounds into Fawzi's vehicle. It was the wrong vehicle. Another young man, who was seriously injured, was found in the vehicle.

 

Arrests and detainees

1. Arrests

2. Administrative Detentions

Awas Khaled Abu Zina, from the Jenin Refugee Camp, second extension for six months.

Kamil Munshan, from Jenin, fifth extension for four months.

Huzaifa Bader, third extension for six months.

 

Attacks by the IOF on Palestinians

In chronological order, specifying the day. Due to congestion, only events in which conflicts or an unusual event developed will be listed. The number of non-conflict raids is much higher.


1. Nur Shams Refugee Camp, east of Tulkarm, early Monday morning. A special forces raid on a house, with additional reinforcements and accompanied by bulldozers, including drones over the camp. In addition, a raid on a mosque and several businesses. The sirens in the camp were activated, clashes and prolonged exchange of fire developed (four hours), during which bulldozers plowed through the camp roads. An improvised explosive device was set off on one of the bulldozers. Fourteen wounded, four of them from live bullets, and nine from shrapnels. Arrests.


2. Aqabat Jaber Refugee Camp, south of Jericho. Early Monday morning, special forces closed in on a house, including drones. A "Pressure Cooker" procedure was activated (siege gets tighter in stages, while threatening to blow up the house). The wanted person escaped. The troops retreated without arrest. Early Thursday morning, another raid and arrest.


3. Jalazone Refugee Camp, north of Ramallah, Monday. Prolonged clashes and exchange of fire at the entrance to the camp. No arrests were reported. Suffocation injuries. Another raid on Wednesday morning.


4. Askar Refugee Camp, east of Nablus, Monday. A raid on the camp. Special forces besieged a house, then reinforcements of additional forces poured in. A "Pressure Cooker" procedure launched, during which the 13-year-old son of the requested person was used as a bargaining chip and a human shield. He managed to slip away. Heavy exchange of fire. Two wounded by live gunfire, one seriously. Multiple suffocation injuries including children, as the forces fired teargas around UNRWA school. The forces retreated towards the Beit Furik checkpoint east of the city.


5. Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah. Confrontations with the IOF at the entrance to the village. No injuries were reported.


6. Silwan, East Jerusalem, early Tuesday morning. Raid and arrests. Clashes in the Dayr Ayyub neighborhood, during which three minors were arrested.


7. Huwara, south of Nablus, Tuesday. Increased military presence following the shooting on a settler bus (to be reported later). Searches. Blockading of entrances and a demand to close all businesses. Arrests in the nearby Beita.


8. Nablus, Tuesday. At Tur neighborhood on Mount Gerizim. An exchange of fire with a Palestinian vehicle from which one of the passengers got out and opened fire on a military post. Three passengers of the vehicle were killed. The IOF blocked medical responders, took the bodies and confiscated the vehicle. A weapon was found in the vehicle. Hamas claimed responsibility a few hours later.


9. Ni'lin, west of Ramallah, Tuesday. Raid. Massive firing of teargas. Conflicts developed. Suffocation injuries were reported. No arrests.


10. Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit, Tuesday. Residents and solidarity activists were marching to the entrance, in protest of the outpost that was built a month earlier on their lands. Settlers and IOF attacked them. A senior official of the Palestinian Authority (the head of the Resistance Committee) was detained for several hours, after he was violently attacked.


11. Balata Refugee Camp, east of Nablus, Tuesday. The residents of the camp revealed undercover special forces at the entrance to the camp, dressed as women. The special forces retreated.


12. Beita, south of Nablus, Tuesday. Prolonged clashes at the entrance to the town. The forces fired teargas into houses and shops. According to the Red Crescent, thirteen suffocation injuries. On Thursday, the forces raided Jabal el Aarme in the town's lands.


13. Burqin, west of Jenin, Wednesday early morning. A night raid and a campaign of arrests and investigations. Clashes developed in the town, including exchange of fire. No injuries were reported.


14. Tammun, south of Tubas. raid for arrests. Clashes developed, during which the Palestinians threw stones.


15. Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus. Raid on the village, clashes. No reports of arrests or injuries.


16. Burqa, northwest of Nablus. On Wednesday morning, shortly after the shooting at Homesh (will be detailed later), a raid for scanning and searches. Clashes during which the Palestinians threw a fire bomb on a military vehicle and set it on fire. On Thursday another prolonged raid (three hours). No arrests.


17. Ein Beit el Ma Refugee Camp, northwest of Nablus, Wednesday. Blocking access routes to the camp, a raid by special forces and a house siege, followed by reinforcements. An exchange of fire. The wanted person was arrested. One Killed (according to the Palestinians, neither armed nor involved), two injured by gunshots, one injured by rifle butts, one injured by a military vehicle colliding with her vehicle. Multiple suffocation injuries (among them several children).


18. Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, and Husan, west of Bethlehem, Wednesday. The IOF distributed leaflets threatening the residents to refrain from resistance, or otherwise face collective punishment.


19. Ya'bad, southwest of Jenin, Wednesday. A raid around the school complex. Confrontations, exchange of fire, also towards military aircraft.


20. Ramallah, Wednesday. A raid on the El Tira neighborhood. Clashes. A journalist was injured by a rubber bullet.


21. Hebron. Wednesday, a raid on the city around the Mukataa of the city. No arrests were reported. Thursday, a raid on several houses in the Jabal Abu Ramaan area. Later, a raid on businesses in Bab al-Zawiya (city center) and forcing the merchants to close, in order to "cleanse" the area for a settler march, planned for the 9th of Av. Clashes developed there and a Palestinian was injured by live ammunition.


22. Qalqilya, Thursday early morning. Raid on al-Nakar neighborhood. Clashes develop (mainly throwing stones). The forces fired live bullets and killed a 14-year-old minor.


23. al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah. Raid for arrests. Conflicts developed. No injuries reported.


24. Mu'arrajat, northwest of Jericho. The "Star Hamidbar" (Desert frontier) militia, a controversial military unit consisting of outposts settlers, raided Palestinian homes in the al- Melihat area, vandalising a tractor and threatened the locals.

 

Demolitions, Confiscations and Blockades

1. Al-Ram, north of Jerusalem. Installation of a metal fence over the separation wall.


2. Silwan, East Jerusalem. Demolition orders for a number of shops in the Ein el-Luza neighborhood. the Rajabi family, in Batn al-Hawa, is forced to destroy their house.


3. Humsa - Al Bqai'a, northern Jordan Valley. Demolition of Jafar Besharat's home. He, his wife and their five children are now homeless.


4. Al-Arroub Refugee Camp, north of Hebron. Expropriation of a public parking lot near the military tower, as closed military zone.


5. Battir, west of Bethlehem. Demolition of a Palestinian activist's residential trailer.


6. az-Za'ayyem, east of Jerusalem. Demolition of fifteen buildings owned by Palestinians, near Rawabi, east of Issawiya.


7. Beit Hanina, North Jerusalem. Samir el-Sabu was forced to destroy his house.


8. al Fawar Refugee Camp, south of Hebron. In the al-Hijra area, the IOF sealed water pits with concrete, destroying zucchini, cabbage and tomato crops. They shot a Palestinian in the back with a rubber bullet, when he tried to fix the irrigation system. The sealing video reached the circulation of millions, and as a result (on the ground of an explanatory problem) the head of the Civil Administration ordered that every well sealing be inspected individually.


9. Wadi Fukin, west of Bethlehem. Blockage of dirt roads used by farmers.


10. Mu'arrajat, northwest of Jericho. The IOF raided the elementary school, and confiscated construction equipment (bags of cement, bricks and construction tools), intended to build a fence around the school.


11. Qusra, southeast of Nablus. Uprooting 120 olive trees.

 

Palestinian attacks on the Occupation Forces (IOF)

1. Aboud, northwest of Ramallah. An improvised explosive device on the military tower.

2. Nablus, At Tur neighborhood. Shooting at a military position on Mount Gerizim.

3. Jalamah Checkpoint, north of Jenin. Shooting at the checkpoint.

4. Al-Arroub Refugee Camp, north of Hebron. Fire bomb on the military tower.

5. Beit Furik Checkpoint, east of Nablus. Shooting at the checkpoint.

 

Settlers attacks on Palestinians

1. Majdal Bani Fadil, southeast of Nablus. Settlers grab land and level it, apparently in preparation for a new outpost.


2. Al Bowereh, east of Hebron. Once again settlers destroy vine seedlings.


3. Khallet Taha, southwest of Hebron. Armed settlers, apparently from Negohot, raided Palestinian lands, drove out the shepherds, leveled the land and set up a tent. Probably in preparation of a new outpost.


4. Burin, south of Nablus. Settlers, under military protection, set fire to fields and olive trees, south of the village, near Yitzhar, and returned to fell unburned trees.


5. Mazra'a al-Arabiya, north of Ramallah. Clashes with settlers.


6. Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron. Armed settlers, raiding houses in At-Tuba and Maghayir al 'Abeed under military protection. Those photographed in At-Tuba were identified as Yitzchak Ushpiz, Eitan Yardeni and Tomer Ba'al, all from Ma'on Farm. During the raid, solidarity activists called the police several times, to no avail. The settlers took construction equipment and threatened the locals.


7. Hizma, north of Jerusalem. Construction of a new road for settlers only, connecting Adam settlement to Hizma checkpoint.


8. The Old City, Jerusalem. On the eve of the 9th of Av, a parade of flags to the Western Wall. The next day, severe restrictions on Muslim worshipers in al-Aqsa. Settlers taunted them while they were praying outside the compound.


9. Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus. A settlers' raid on the village, backed by the military, attacking houses, setting fire to fields and vehicles. The IOF fired live bullets and teargas at Palestinians who confronted the settlers. Fifteen suffocation injuries.

 

Palestinians attacks on settlers

1. Huwara, south of Nablus. Shooting at a bus. No casualties.


2. Hebron. Zif junction. Fire bomb on a car. The driver managed to escape.

3. Azzun, east of Qalqilya. Throwing stones at a bus. Four settlers were injured.

4. Beit El, north of Al-Bireh. Shooting at the settlement.

5. Homesh, northwest of Nablus. Shooting at the outpost.Damage to the yeshiva building.

6. Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.

7. Jenin. Launching a rocket towards settlements to the west. Fell east of separation fence.

8. Gush Etzion. Throwing stones at a vehicle near the intersection. No casualties were reported. Damage to the car.
