Tuesday, April 16 - The West Bank

Arrests

Last night, the following localities were raided: Qalqilya, Deheishe refugee camp, Jenin, Tulkarm, Shu’afat refugee camp, Habla, Al-Bireh, Qalandia refugee camp, Kafr ‘Aqab, Tarqumiyah, Burqa, Halhul, Arraba. 28 persons were arrested, 2 minors among them (one 12-years-old).

Clashes

1. Jenin city and refugee camp - raid and arrests. Confrontations broke out, including fire exchange.

2. Tulkarm - Abu Bakr al-Siddique mosque was raided, property was vandalized and money from the donation box taken.

3. Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem - arrests, confrontations broke out.



4. Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus - raid. Confrontations including fire exchange.

5. Qalqilya - raid during which snipers situated themselves on rooftops, parked vehicles damaged by military vehicle. Confrontations. Army fired live bullets at school.



6. Burqa, north-west of Nablus - Raid for arrests. Confrontations.

8. Al Fandaqumiya, east of Qalqilya - confrontations during raid.

9. Silat ad-Dhahr, south of Jenin - raid and confrontations.


Demolitions

1. Nabi Elias, east of Qalqilya - destruction of 3 farming structures.

2. Deir Ibzi, west of Ramallah - demolition orders for 7 houses.

3. Beit Hanina, north-east Jerusalem - demolition as collective punishment of the family home of Khaled Al Mukhatab. Killed after firing at policemen in East Jerusalem and wounding two of them on October 12th.


Colonist attacks

1. Kufr al-Dik, west of Salfit - preparations for the erection of a new colonist outpost.



2. Susia, Masafer Yatta - colonist minors raid the community homes, kicking, spitting, shoving and swearing especially elderly women.


 

Tuesday, April 16 - The Gaza Strip

Northern Strip

1. Jabalia - artillery fire and then ground invasion. One person killed, 9 wounded.



2. Beit Hanoun - ground invasion, communication from the town cut off, schools serving as shelter for displaced persons are under siege, women and children forced to leave. A house bombed - 4 persons killed. Confrontations.

Tuesday, April 16 - Northern Israeli Border

Attacks against Israel

1. Metula - military vehicle hit.

2. Yavne’el - a missile fell and caused fire. No alarm siren.

3. Beit Hillel - 2 ‘suicide’ drones blew up. No alarm sirens. 3 persons wounded.

4. Kiryat Shmona - vehicle hit by rocket. 5 rockets fell in the town.

5. Meron Mountain, Safsufa - 10 rockets fired at military base. 7 of them fell in the area.

1. Ain Baal - drones aimed at vehicles. One person killed, wounded persons.

Wednesday, April 17 - The West Bank

Raids and Arrests

During the day and night, the following localities were raided:

Marda, Hebron, Faqqua, Tubas, Tuqu’a, Shu’afat refugee camp, Qalqilya, Beit Ummar, Rujeib, Aqraba, Asira al-Qibliya, Habla, Tulkarm, Mazra'a Al Sharqia, Beit Kahil, Al Khader. 27 persons were arrested, at least one minor among them.


Clashes

1. Tubas - raid with bulldozers. Armed confrontations for several hours.

2. Tulkarm - raid of commercial shop, its contents vandalized.

4. Azzun, east of Qalqilya - raid and fire exchange. Palestinians threw grenades. Arrests.

5. Beit Ummar, north of Hebron - raid for arrest purposes (10 detainees taken to the nearby colony for interrogation and then released). House searches and property vandalized. Confrontations and suffocations.


Demolitions

1. Bani Na'im, east of Hebron - home of Mohammad Ali Zayadat and Ahmad Mohammad Zayadat who carried out the terrorist attack in Ra’anana this January - destroyed.

2. Deir Istiya, north-west of Salfit - bulldozers have begun works to pave a road for Jews only close to the locality.


Attacks against colonists

1. Azzun, east of Qalqilya - fire bombs hurled at vehicles, no casualties reported. Later stones thrown, vehicles damaged.

2. Nabi Elias, east of Qalqilya - stones thrown at bus.

3. Deir Nidham, north-west of Ramallah - fire bombs thrown at vehicle.

4. Burin, south of Nablus - stones and paint bottle thrown. Damage to vehicle.

5. Halhul - stones thrown at colonist vehicles.

1. Al Mu'arrajat - colonists from the nearby outpost on horseback and in vehicles raided the locality.

 

Wednesday, April 17 - The Gaza Strip

‣ Shuja'iyya neighborhood - house bombed, 2 persons killed, 9 missing;

Wednesday, April 17 - Northern Israeli Border

Attacks against Israel

1. Kefar Blum - rockets intercepted by Iron Dome.

2. Biranit - rockets fired at military base. Alleged direct hit.

3. Meron Mountain - guided missile.

4. Dov Moutain - bullets and rockets fired at army base.

5. Arab Al Aramshe - no alarm sirens, combined attack of anti-tank missiles and ‘suicide’ drone. Direct hit at community center and private car. 13 reserve soldiers, 2 security officials, 3 civilians wounded - 1 critically, 4 seriously.

Thursday, April 18 - The West Bank

Raids and Arrests


A woman arrested


During the day and night, the army raided the following localities: Dura, Surif, Qalqilya, Shu’afat refugee camp, Nahalin, Silat ad-Dhahr, Habla, Beitunia, Nablus, Askar refugee camp, Jericho, Mazra’a Al Sharqia, Beit Fajjar, Tufah, Duma, Kafr Malik, Beit Rima, Arraba, Beit Ummar, Ein Al Sultan refugee camp and Zububa. At least 40 Palestinians were arrested, 2 women and 3 minors among them.

1. Nahalin, west of Bethlehem - raid and house searches. Confrontations.

2. Silt A Dahar, south of Jenin - following attack on colonist vehicle, town raided. Confrontations.

3. Nablus and Askar refugee camp (east) - eastern parts of the city and camp raided. Fire exchange and improvised explosive charge. 6 persons arrested, including 3 minors.

4. Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah - raid and fire bomb thrown at army vehicle. No casualties.

5. Beit Ummar, north of Hebron - raid, with teargas and stun grenades. Confrontations, army began shooting live fire. Inhabitant chased.

6. Ya'bad, south-west of Nablus - 9-year-old girl run over by army vehicle during raid.

7. Shu’afat refugee camp, north-east Jerusalem - raid and confrontations. Suffocations.

8. Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camp (east of the city) - massive forces raided during the early evening. Two bulldozers with them. Siege laid on the refugee camp so inhabitants could not return to their homes, while curfew held in the streets. Bulldozers destroyed infrastructures and damaged property.

Houses raided. Confrontations ensued. One person moderately wounded by live fire. Bulldozers hit electricity poles and caused power cuts in the camp. At the same time, a suburb of the city was raided and held under siege. 3 persons arrested, another beaten up and later hospitalized. The raid lasted some days, each will be described separately.

1. Gaza City:

‣ At the focus of artillery fire and aerial attacks;

‣ North-west part of the city - bombed by military navy;

1. Alarm sirens during the day at Metula, Hanita, Adamit, Eilon, Ya’ara, Arab Al Aramshe.

2. Attack against army force at Malkia.

3. Attacks against army force at Hanita.

4. Anti-tank missiles fired at Yir’on. Damage to building. No Casualties.

5. Attack against army force at Manara.

1. Kafrkela - aerial attack. 2 persons killed.

3. Marjayoun - artillery fire and aerial attack.

Friday, April 19 - The West Bank

Killed

The list of persons killed is not certain. In the raid on Nur Shams refugee camp lasting 50 hours, 14 persons were killed, unclear who was killed when, for all the bodies were rescued at the end of the raid and there are contradictory reports.


1. Salim Latif Ghanem, 29-years-old from Nur Shams refugee camp, the brother of two killed in the October 19th raid.

2. Kais Nasrallah, 15-years-old from Nur Shams refugee camp.

3. Mohammad Jaber Abu Shaja, from Nur Shams refugee camp - commander of the Tulkarm battalion of the Islamic Jihad. Israel announced that he was shot and killed. However, several days later he appeared on video at the funeral of people killed at the refugee camp, so his death is not certain.

4. Mahmoud Ghanem from Nur Shams refugee camp.

5. Alaa Abed Al Rahim, 35-years-old from Nur Shams refugee camp.

6. Salim Ghanem, 24-years-old from Nur Shams refugee camp.


Arrests

[People arrested in] raids on Beita, Al Mughayyir, Dura, Duma, Qaryut, Qusra, Azzun. 27 persons arrested, a minor among them.

Clashes

1. Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm - second day of raid. The destruction has already gone on for 17 hours. Bulldozers destroy streets, water grid, sewage pipes, house walls, a kindergarten, shops, shopping centers.



Soldiers have turned several houses into army posts, snipers situated on rooftops.

The refugee camp is under curfew. No ambulance access. An elderly man needing medical treatment died due to lack of ambulance access. 2 ambulances with permits disappeared and contact with them was lost. Paramedic shot and wounded during rescue. Harsh confrontations, fire exchange, anti-tank missiles (fired by Israeli army), improvised explosive charges (used by Palestinians).



5 persons killed (most of them identified with the Islamic Jihad). 17 persons seriously wounded (belly and chest) caught at the refugee camp. 2 wounded persons were hospitalized. All by live fire or bruised and fractured by soldiers’ physical violence.



The army fired at journalists who tried to cover the event. 4 soldiers wounded, 2 moderately to seriously. In the evening the army forces blew up a storehouse. The army reports catching armaments. The raid continues and will also be reported on the next day’s report.

2. Al Mughayyir, north-east of Ramallah - raid, lighting bombs, houses raided and much damage caused to property.

3. Salem, east of Nablus - confrontations. No casualties reported.

4. Beita, south of Nablus - raid and confrontations. 2 minors wounded by live fire and another by shrapnel.

5. Azzun - a bicycle rider wounded in the head by shrapnel of live bullets.

6. Beit Sahour, east of Bethlehem - Soldiers beat up 3 Palestinians resident at Beit Sahour, at the Container Checkpoint. They were hospitalized with fractures and bruises.

7. Husan, west of Bethlehem - Confrontations around Al Matinah area. Suffocations.

8. Qusra, south-east of Nablus - raid using bullets and teargas. Suffocations.

1. Al-Arroub refugee camp - fire bomb thrown at the army watchtower at the entrance to the camp.


Colonist attacks

1. Ain al-Hilweh - northern Palestinian Jordan Valley - colonists throw bodies of dead sheep into the spring that supplies the community with water.

2. Beit Furik, east of Nablus - colonists steal sheep from a house in the town outskirts.

3. Al Aqsa Mosque - the Jewish movement ‘Return to Temple Mount’ announced a 50,000 shekels prize for anyone who manages to sacrifice a lamb at Al Aqsa, as well as various prizes for anyone attempting and not succeeding. As in every holiday.

Saturday, April 20 - The West Bank

Killed

1. Mohammad Awad Mussa, 50-years-old from Qaryut. Shot and killed by colonist / soldiers at As-Sawiya.

Demolitions and Arrests

1. Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm - the raid enters its third day, lasting 50 consecutive hours. Confrontations. Fire exchange. Improvised explosive charges. The army fired anti-tank missiles at 3 houses. Drones entered houses to search them.

Ambulances were stopped at the entrance to the camp and one could not rescue bodies or wounded persons until the raid ended. An ambulance team was detained. Bullets fired at another ambulance. An elderly person bit by army attack dog.

Later, the raid expands to the city and its suburbs Shuweika and Danaba, as well as to the Tulkarm refugee camp. 14 persons killed, about 25 persons wounded, 15 persons arrested.

Colonist attacks

1. Rujeib, east of Nablus - colonists invade Palestinian lands.



2. Al Mu'arrajat, north-west of Jericho - colonists block the road and attacks vehicles.

3. Taibe Junction, east of Ramallah - colonists torch a tended field.

4. Turmus Aya, north-east of Ramallah - colonists vandalize vehicles.



5. Ka’abna, north-west of Jericho - colonists accompanied by soldiers raid and steal 2 vehicles, and solar panels.

6. Deir Istiya, north-west of Salfit - colonists throw stones at vehicles.

7. As-Sawiya - dozens of colonists accompanied by soldiers raid the village with live fire, stone-throwing. Confrontations. Soldiers fire at Palestinians to protect the vandalizing colonists. 2 persons wounded, one killed. A paramedic arriving to rescue the wounded was shot and killed by colonists (say witnesses) or perhaps soldiers. It is still being ‘investigated’.


 

Saturday, April 20 - The Gaza Strip

During the day, a strike was declared protesting the attack against Nur Shams refugee camp. During the night and day, the occupation forces raided Kharbatha Bani Harith, Umm Lasafa, Beit Ummar, Beit Sahour, Hebron, Azzun, Nablus, A-Ram, Dura, Duma, Salem, Atara, Al-Bireh, Bethlehem, Beit Sira, Jayus, Jalbun, Ya'bad, Madama, Burqa, Husan, Harmala. During the 50 hours of this raid of Nur Shams refugee camp 50 persons were arrested, 500 interrogated. During the night raids, 21 persons were arrested.

3. Beit Einun, north-east of Hebron - 2 Palestinians attack soldiers at the checkpoint. One fires, the second tries to stab. Both are shot. Denied medical treatment until they die. The two are inhabitants of nearby Sa'ir. Later, the army forces raided their homes.


4. Salem Checkpoint, north-west of Jenin - shots fired at local army base.

5. Dotan (Ya’bad) Checkpoint, south-west of Jenin - 2 firing events at the checkpoint. For the second time, it develops into fire exchange.

6. Huwara, south of Nablus - shots fired at checkpoint.

7. Azzun, east of Qalqilya - fire bomb thrown at army vehicle.

8. Hamra Checkpoint, northern Palestinian Jordan Valley - shots fired at a Palestinian woman who allegedly was trying to stab. Wounded. Denied medical treatment until she died.

9. Al Mughayyir, north-east of Ramallah - soldier hit in the head by a thrown pain bottle.

4. Al Mughayyir, north-east of Ramallah - Israeli on his way to tear down a Palestine flag from the roadside lightly wounded by improvised explosive charge placed on the flag.

6. Al Khader, south of Bethlehem - vehicle burnt due to fire bomb hurled at it.

7. Huwara, south of Nablus - stones thrown at vehicles.


Colonist attacks

1. Jalbun, east of Jenin - vehicle and greenhouse torched.

2. Hares, north-west of Salfit - stones thrown at vehicles.

3. Far'ata, east of Qalqilya - colonists open fire at eastern part of village.
